NEXEA invests RM2.5 mil in online diamond brand ZCOVA

ONLINE diamond brand ZCOVA’s journey kicked off with the desire to revolutionise the local diamond industry.

Needless to say, its array of innovations – from 360° diamond-viewing videos, personalised virtual consultations and virtual try-ons using augmented reality to the introduction of a dual diamond certification – was what took the ZCOVA brand to the next level.

The end goal was ultimately to provide transparency and reliability which would allow their customers to make educated purchasing decisions and provide them with a positive experience shopping for ZCOVA jewellery.

“Since ZCOVA’s inception in 2015, we have helped more than 4,300 customers save over RM 20 mil in diamonds with our innovative business model and continuous consumer education,” ZCOVA co-founder Low Ziwei said.

“With ZCOVA’s strong values and principles (education, transparency, services, and customer experience), we have reached consumers nationwide, boosting the demand for ZCOVA’s jewellery.”

According to Low who founded ZCOVA with his brother Ziyin, the brand aims to provide a personalised consultation to every customer from every touch point, be it online via social media or offline at ZCOVA’s Experience Centres.

“This speaks with ZCOVA’s mission to make diamonds more accessible to everyone through an exceptional customer experience,” Low noted, adding that the jewellery brand is currently extending this experience to more locations nationwide, starting with Johor.

“The Johor Experience Center will also act as our southern region hub to provide the same experiences as our headquarters and will provide the extra convenience to our customers in the southern region.”

In related news, ZCOVA had recently raised RM2.5 mil from NEXEA’s Angel Investors.

NEXEA is a Malaysian venture capital and start-up accelerator firm that specialises in supporting and funding technology companies that have the potential to be the next technology giants.

“ZCOVA has a very strong business model and is very much proven in other countries. They have very strong competitive advantages and are the top performer in the Southeast Asian region,” said NEXEA managing partner Ben Lim.

“We expect to see ZCOVA become the clear winner in the online jewellery space, and to have a good shot at becoming one of the next unicorns in the region.”
