NI HSIN Food & Beverage Sdn Bhd (Ni Hsin F&B) filed a patent application with the Intellectual Property Corporation Malaysia (MyIPO) for its new energy coffee to be marketed and retailed under the brand name ‘BlackBixon’.
The wholly-owned subsidiary of Ni Hsin Resources Bhd (Ni Hsin) revealed its new invention today, titled Composition of Boosting Energy Level, Anti-Fatigue and Boosting Mental Alertness.
With the filing of the patent application, Ni Hsin F&B will be able to protect the rights to its invention and secure the competitive advantage in selling the said invention.
“Our collaboration partner Fiatec Biosystem Sdn Bhd has helped us successfully develop various products which includes energy coffee and nutrition coffee, which will be marketed and sold in capsule form under our brand ‘BlackBixon’,” said Ni Hsin F&B managing director Khoo Chee Kong.
“Meanwhile, we have appointed Global Coffee Resources Sdn Bhd to supply our coffee beans and coffee powder, as well as provide technical assistance to Ni Hsin F&B in the development of the beverage recipes,” he added.
According to Khoo, the company decided to focus its first foray into the F&B business on the manufacturing and distribution of health and bioenergy beverages as it considered the heightened heath awareness among Malaysians in their dietary needs and the increasing consumption of non-alcoholic beverages. – Feb 6, 2021
