PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has praised the decision by the PAS Youth Council of Malaysia to cancel invitation to Muslim countries that are found to be supporting Israel to attend the 64th PAS Youth muktamar (general assembly) last night (Oct 19).
He regarded the action was necessary taking into account the tyranny of the Zionist regime which have made tens of thousands of Palestinians victims of violent attacks that began on Oct 7.
Moreover, such stance is necessary to assert that Muslims in Malaysia cannot accept the actions of some Muslim countries which still have relations with Zionist Israel.
“We at the Central PAS level will also take similar action not to invite countries that are found to have established relations with Israel at the opening of the 69th Central PAS muktamar this Friday (Oct 20),” declared Tuan Ibrahim to the applause from the delegates and observers present.
He said this when officiating the PAS Youth muktamar at the Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam (IDCC). The event was held simultaneously with the PAS Muslimat (women’s wing) muktamar which was officiated by the party’s deputy Mursyidul Am Ustaz Datuk Ahmad Yakob (former Kelantan menteri besar).
Although the Kubang Kerian MP did not mention names of the pro-Israel Muslim nations, Turkish public broadcaster TRT World has earmarked eight Middle East and North Africa (MENA) states that maintain unofficial ties with Israel.
They are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Morocco, Bahrain and Sudan.
Moving on, Tuan Ibrahim also expressed disappointment that the United Nations Security Council (UN) failed to stop the Zionist Israeli tyranny against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
“It is regrettable that the UN has been reluctant or incapable of stopping the atrocities committed by the Israeli Zionists against the Palestinian people, especially the innocent civilians,” lamented the former environment and water minister.
“For more than 70 years, major powers have failed to act to stop the Zionist Israeli tyranny against Muslims in Palestine.”
Interestingly enough, Tuan Ibrahim is impressed by the fact that the illegal state of Israel which supposedly has a sophisticated and impregnable security defence system was finally torn apart by Hamas and Hezbollah fighters. – Oct 19, 2023
