PAS student wing berates unity gov’t’s cowardice by eclipsing TV3’s paid ‘Takbir Raya’ prog

THE PAS Undergraduate wing has labelled the unity government as “coward” for cancelling the Perikatan Nasional (PN) paid for Takbir Raya slot which was slated for airing over TV3 on the eve of Syawal (April 21) at 10.20pm.

The programme was initiated by the PN leadership through a mainstream TV station with the hope that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim through his reformist fighting spirit will support such open media initiative but only for the assumption to remain a “far-fetched assumption”, according to the wing’s chairman Kamil Arif.

“A million disappointments have been expressed by netizens on the night of ushering in the arrival of first Syawal,” he lamented on a Facebook post.

“The genuine initiative by the PN leadership to get close with Malaysians all over the country, especially Muslims, could not materialise as the Takbir Raya Aidilfitri programme was cancelled for unreasonable reasons.”

Added Kamil: “Surely PMX (Anwar) bigots cannot afford to lie to themselves this time around that PMX has violated his reform struggle for the sake of (Datuk Seri Ahmad) Zahid Hamidi and UMNO’s power.”

He further equated Anwar’s failure to air the pre-recorded Takbir Raya programme on TV3 as evidence that the Madani Government has failed to realise the objectives of its struggle.

“The parameter to the continuity and integrity of the Madani Government today is just the power to protect Zahid and UMNO from the law there is similarly applicable to other Malaysians.” observed Kamil.

“Anwar’s dignity is getting scarred while the Madani’s integrity is getting betrayed. The bad behaviour DNA of some UMNO leaders has now infiltrated the souls and bodies of PH leaders until it becomes part of their blood and flesh. In fact, the destruction goes beyond their roots and veins.”

With the latest “betrayal”, Kamil expects the people to now be able to judge more clearly the misdemeanour of PH and are bound to punish the Madani Government come election for the states of Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu in July/August this year.

“Look out for this unstoppable (green) tsunami. The waves will bury the Madani Government to their roots,” he added – April 23, 2023
