TONGUES are wagging if the black Volvo bearing registration number plate BKF 8000 illegally parked on a bus lane in Jalan Kuchai Maju, Kuala Lumpur belongs to Seputeh MP as claimed by a few in-the-know netizens.
This came about as self-proclaimed policy and planning nerd Nat-scape Nat-vigator 🇲🇾 🏳️⚧️(@Natcromancer) shed some light onto a viral post of a “YB (Yang Berhormat)” – a title for MPs and state assemblymen – allegedly informed the Sri Petaling police station officer-in-charge (OIC) Inspector Yeo Joo Boon that the said car “has been summoned by your officers”.
A YB parked their car at the Jln Kuchai Maju bus stop, making life unnecessarily difficult for T586 feeder bus users and had the gall to request that they shouldn’t get saman
No, you should get a MUCH HIGHER SAMAN to be an example

This eventually prompted the OIC to request his personnel “to put in some effort get to know the YB’s car” as well as “to be on the alert with cars belonging to YBs”.
“Doesn’t this mean that there’s double standard in the issuance of the summon?” wondered the original poster. “In other words, summons are only to be issued to the public while VVIPs are to be exempted.”
In echoing the original poster, an enraged @Natcromancer further hit out at the irresponsible car owner.
“A YB’s car was parked at the Jalan Kuchai Maju bus stop, making life unnecessarily difficult for T586 feeder bus users and had the gall to request that they shouldn’t get saman,” fumed @Natcromancer.
“No, you should get a MUCH HIGHER SAMAN to be an example. Nobody is above the law, especially LAWMAKERS.”
This elicited ‘whispers’ among commenters who have a clue who the car owner is.

One self-proclaimed dad who runs his own business and plays video games nevertheless defended Kok that one just has to inform her “and she’ll apologise and promise not to repeat (the offence)”.
“(But) can’t say the same thing about YB from the opposition party though (because) when you do that, they’ll note down your name for future ‘plans’.🤔”

One netizen struck the chord when he posed a stinger that “even with parking allowance already provided for, you still want to park illegally?” while others insisted that nobody should be allowed to be above the law in Malaysia”.

At the end of the day, the matter gets politicised with finger-pointing and DAP bashing becoming imminent. – Oct 24, 2025
