Rags-to-riches Malaysian Penthouse sensation now knocking at corporate doors

PENANG lass Siew Pui Yi’s gamble with the adult Penthouse magazine is slowly but surely paying dividend, indeed a passport for the 23 year-old to eventually gain entry into the corporate world.

She had bared it all with a purpose, leveraging her alluring feminism not to satisfy the lust of the male gender per se but as a corporate ladder intuitively guided by her enterprising instinct.

While many women of her generation are still unsettled with their 2022 resolution – many had even carried forward their unfulfilled 2021 resolutions – MsPuiyi as she is affably known in the social media realm ushered in Year of the Tiger with a bang by becoming the first Southeast Asian to be featured on the front cover of Penthouse.

Truly a beauty with brain, Pui Yi was spotted at the grand opening of Porsche Club Malaysia’s (PCM) office in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur recently.

Globally, PCM is the 170th club to have earned the badge of honour from the German luxury high-performance carmaker. The club started with fewer than 10 members in 1998 and grew to 2,000 today, of which 400 are active members.

“Got invited to Porsche Club Malaysia’s grand opening of their office yesterday! Thanks for inviting me and congratulations!” quipped the gutsy young lady in her Facebook posting dated Jan 16.

Obviously, Pui Yi which regards herself as actor, celebrity, influencer and model is not modelling for the car brand which epitomises the fulfilment of a lifelong dream; in fact she herself is a proud Porsche owner.

“At 23 years old, I bought myself a Porsche as Christmas gift,” she revealed in another Facebook posting dated Dec 14, 2021.

Netizen George Lim who is impressed with Pui Yi’s achievement remarked: “So many people buy Porsche under father and mother’s company or use papa mama money. She bought with her own money.”

Mohd Hasnol Ariffin applauded Pui Yi for her great achievement, “Good actor and model” to which Shaiful Sykes added, “Malay, Chinese and Indian unite to watch Pui Yi.”

Nivla Rehc who is inspired by Pui Yi’s achievement jotted, “I’m gonna save money to buy Porsche like my idol.”

While not many would agree with the unconventional manner in which Pui Yi charts her destiny, where she is today entails big-time sacrifices as she personally attests:

“I’ve been constantly humiliated, mocked and looked down upon when I was a newbie. I have to fail and lose it all to win my fights. Some have seen me living in small rented apartment and taking simple meals.

“Took risk to make it this far because it’s not a route for everyone. Now I’ve made it and it feels as though all my struggles paid off. Those tears, Those discrimination and demoralisation from family, friends and relatives I faced.

“Now I’ve earned my seat in this industry (skincare/cosmetic/modelling). I’ve earned respect from my family. I financially support my entire family and my little sister’s education.” – Jan 19, 2022
