LOOKING through the list of topics and contents that could go viral online, we are usually left scratching our heads. Humanity is indeed an interesting species.
Even in the past, people have gravitated towards something on YouTube called Mukbang where live streamers could be seen eating food in front of their audience. They would either chew loudly, slurp loudly, or perhaps both, much to the satisfaction of their subscribers.
Food is fine. But what happens when a live streamer decides to take it up a notch or two just to stand out among the crowd of Mukbang content providers?
And that is exactly what happened in a video where a lady could be seen consuming long, thick sticks of butter by dipping them in sugar. This is definitely a killer diet.
The video could be found at: https://x.com/zulazri03/status/1960159432182321342
Netizen @zulazri03 who brought the video to light warned that the lady was going to get a heart attack and we are not surprised if she gets it.

Also, @myrarhmnn said the video was vomit inducing. Looking at all that solid fat being consumed within seconds, who could disagree with that statement?
But more importantly, why would people do this? An article on the website healthline.com states that snacking on sticks of butter has become a popular practice among some TikTok creators.
According to the website, a TikTok creator by the name @steakandbuttergirl would eat butter while sharing that she does it everyday for the happy hormones, great skin, energy and mood.
“Many users on the app also snack on sticks of butter as a weight loss tactic, with some using butter as a meal replacement,” claims the website.
However, butter is an unconventional weight-loss food, and overconsumption of it is associated with a number of poor health outcomes.
The website went on to quote a paediatric dietitian who said this trend is concerning because butter is very high in saturated fat and calories, which can contribute to weight gain and other health problems.
“Men should not eat more than 30g of saturated fat a day, and women should not eat more than 20g,” said the dietitian. Looking at all that fat and sugar being consumed in that brief video, we are certain the mukbang live streamer is not doing it for any health benefits. —Aug 26, 2025
