Setia Alam residences get premium private school option

PENINSULA Private School (Peninsula) was launched to meet the demands of the residents in the Setia Alam area and its surrounding vicinities.

While there are a number of international schools including Peninsula’s namesake which offers the Australian syllabus, the locale has been crying out for a premium institution that offers the Malaysian curriculum.

This demand was best exemplified by the large crowds that thronged the school’s booth during its recent roadshow at Eco Ardence, Shah Alam. Devoid of gimmicky “special offers” or free gifts, it was clear that the visitors were genuinely interested in finding out more about the premium private school option.

In fact, feedback from the ground has been positive with many parents noting the need for a quality private school to service the Setia Alam locale as well as surrounding neighbourhoods, according to Peninsula’s principal Tan Seaw Chin.

“This area is a mature neighbourhood with an affluent demographic with many school-going kids and one that is certainly seeking for affordable private education,” she affirms. “However, not all parents want an international education, preferring their children to sit for the SPM and have a strong foundation in local languages.”

Linguistics will certainly take centre stage at Peninsula as students are given a strong foundation in Bahasa Malaysia through the national curriculum and via a personalised teaching approach that seeks to identify individual student’s strengths and weaknesses.

Mandarin will also be given priority as Peninsula will employ proven pedagogue using internationally-recognised Mandarin curriculum to boost students’ proficiency in the language.

English language skills will be further enhanced with Cambridge curriculum allowing them to master the language and gain additional credentials as well. Students at Peninsula will also have the option to learn a foreign language which will boost their curriculum vitae (CV) when applying for future employment, especially abroad.

“Character building and teaching of positive values plays a big part of what we do at Peninsula,” asserts Tan. “With a handpicked academic team applying our personalised teaching methods, we are confident in maximising the potential of each and every child.”

Peninsula Private School is a completely distinct entity from its international namesake, each with its own pool of academics and support staff. To arrange for a campus tour, kindly contact 011-378 323 90. – Dec 30, 2022
