Such reaction come on the back of the controversial “massive China flag-waving” during a cultural possession in the vicinity of the Teluk Intan’s Leaning Tower on Thursday (Oct 24) night.
In fact, many opposition backers have trolled Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad who remarked that it was fine for tourists or citizens from the Great Wall nation to wave the flags of their respective countries during the International Guan Gong Cultural Festival which had sparked controversy.
On the contrary, the five-term Kota Tampan state assemblyman contended that such act would be deemed unlawful or become a crime if it is done by locals or Malaysian citizens.

Saarani who is also the UMNO supreme council member further drew the analogy of Malaysians in foreign lands such as the UK who wave the Jalur Gemilang during social gatherings to express their sense of patriotism.
After all, the Guan Gong Cultural Association of Malaysia chairman Soon Boon Hua had apologised to all Malaysians for the incident involving the waving of China flags, alluding to fact that the act of waving the flag of another country was never planned in the existing programme itinerary prepared by the event organiser.

In all fairness, ‘hyper’ sensitivity in the waving of China flags are politically motivated by opposition forces to provoke with the hope of uniting the Malays against the perceived domineering DAP influence considering the party has the most number of parliamentary seats in today’s ruling Madani government.
This has led to ‘ill-conceived’ double standards such as this justification by a pro-opposition cybertrooper.
