SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM24.25 bil in the conventional system and RM12.25 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tenders of RM500 mil for seven days and RM500 mil for 14 days, as well as two qard tenders of RM200 mil for seven days and RM200 mil for 14 days.
It will also conduct a RM250 mil reverse repo tender for 63 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM23.5 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM11.9 bil for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 16, 2020, Bernama
