Sufri to helm construction body for 2020-2022 term

THE Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) has appointed Tan Sri Sufri Mohd Zin as its new president with effect from Dec 29 to succeed Foo Chek Lee.

Following the 66th MBAM Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Dec 20, the new MBAM office bearers were elected yesterday for the 2020-2022 term at the MBAM Secretariat Office in Kuala Lumpur.

Sufri brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Malaysian construction industry with more than 35 years of working experience especially in civil and building industry.

He has been serving MBAM in various capacities since year 2004 and an active MBAM Council Member.

“I hope that the new Council will work together to move the Association forward with one voice and one mind,” said Sufri who is honoured and humbled by the appointment.

The following is the new line-up of MBAM’s office bearers for the 2020-2022 term:

Deputy President: Oliver Wee Hiang Chyn (Tim Sekata Sdn Bhd)

Vice Presidents: Liew Hau Seng (IJM Corporation Bhd); Datuk Ubull Din Om (Gamuda Bhd); Chung Soo Kiong (Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd); Eric Yong Shang Ming (Crest Builder Sdn Bhd); and Kenneth Liew Kiam Woon (LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd)
