Wan Saiful’s prophecy: Hadi will be next in line to face vindictive Anwar’s music

AS if the writing is already on the wall, former Bersatu information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has predicted that the unity government will switch its focus to PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang after it is done with former premier and Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“The sole purpose is to cripple Perikatan Nasional so that they can destroy check and balance in this country,” claimed the Tasek Gelugor MP who himself has claimed trial to two charges of soliciting and accepting RM6.9 mil in bribes in relation to a Jana Wibawa project.

“Tan Sri Abdul Hadi is investigated because of his comments on the change of government. There is nothing wrong with the statement. In our Westminster democracy, government can be changed at any time.”

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Wan Saiful further claimed that “[as a person] who has been convicted and jailed for abuse of power it is not surprising if this ex-convict repeats his old habits once he sits on the throne he has been longing for”.

“Malaysians as well as international observers must realise this is the real Anwar. Anwar’s crackdown on the opposition is to fulfil his desire to rule without any check and balance. Nepotism is rife in Anwar’s administration,” accused Wan Saiful who relinquished his party post on Feb 21 following his corruption charges.

“Anwar is no reformist. He is merely an old vengeful opportunist.”

Meanwhile, UMNO information chief Datuk Isham Jalil has other thoughts on Muhyiddin claiming to be innocent with regard to his corruption charges.

“Just a moment ago, Muhyiddin said he was innocent because the one who approved the Jana Wibawa project for Bumiputera contractors was not him but the then Finance Minister (Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz),” he penned on his Facebook page.

“He also said that the money that went into his Bersatu party account (by these contractors) was also not wrong because it was supposedly a political contribution. And when his friend is given a tax exemption by the government and after that his friend ‘donates’ into his party account, that is not wrong for him either. In Muhyiddin’s world, this is all pure charity.” – March 10, 2023
