Zenith Hotels & Resorts expands its footprint in the local market amid pandemic

THE number of hotels in Malaysia have been gradually increasing in the last decade, before the pandemic hit the country’s shores.

Despite missing the tourist arrival for eight consecutive year in 2018, the Government and industry experts remain upbeat about the Malaysian hospitality sector while positive about meeting the target in 2020. Hotels in the country continue to mushroom.

To recap, the goal set by the country for 2018 was 33.1 million tourist arrivals and RM134 bil in receipts before peaking in 2020 with the aim of achieving 36 million tourist arrivals and RM168 bil in receipts.

However, the hospitality industry has been severely affected since the pandemic landed on our shores early last year. Not only many hotels struggle to survive, some even have to cease operations.

Even amid uncertainties and clamp down on movement, some hoteliers are still bullish with economic prospects.

Being optimistic that the hospitality industry will rebound soon, The Zenith Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd is expanding the brand’s footprint in the local market. An established home-grown hospitality brand.

The Zenith Hotels & Resorts has announced the soft opening of its third hotel in Malaysia, Zenith Cameron, which is strategically situated in the heart of Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands.

“We are excited and honoured to introduce Zenith Cameron, adding to The Zenith Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio,” Zenith Cameron’s hotel manager Ramesh Bahadur said.

From inspired architecture and interior design to delectable food and spectacular events space, Zenith Cameron – which was officiated by Pahang’s Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail on April 30 – celebrates excellence and caters to a discerning clientele who will enjoy this city.

Nestled within Malaysia’s largest agricultural region, the eco-conscious hotel – designed by AREA Architect Sdn Bhd – consists of 175 contemporary guestrooms including 22 suites and is uniquely tailored for families, friends as well as business associates.

Exclusively offering the latest Cameron-style accommodation with comforts of a home, the hotel brings an entirely new vision to The Zenith Hotels & Resorts and is set to be the latest buzz in the Cameron Highlands while standing at nine floors tall.

“We look forward to creating a truly exceptional lifestyle experience in this hilltop location and we believe our hotel will become the new landmark of the Highlands,” Bahadur remarked. – May 14, 2021
