Najib’s daughter: “Daddy worried about the people, GE15”

“DADDY’s not doing well mentally; he misses serving the people and worries about the rakyat’s welfare.”

Such is the message delivered by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to the people via his daughter Nooryana Najwa who, via her Instagram story, had revealed that she had visited her father in prison yesterday (Oct 24).

To the Indian community, Najib wished them a blessed Deepavali while to fellow Malaysians, he urged that they take good care of their health given weather uncertainties.

“Daddy has gotten used to his daily routine and has obtained spiritual peace through praying, reading and looking at pictures of his grandchildren,” Nooryana wrote.

“I asked him what was the most uncomfortable thing for him at the moment and he responded that the issue was not physical; rather, it was mental. He misses serving the people and often wonders if they are doing all right with their daily lives.

“An economic downturn is expected to take place next year, and he wonders if the rakyat is ready for that.”

With the 15th general election (GE15) just around the corner, Najib also expressed his concerns for the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition and wonders if his party is ready for it.

“Today (Oct 24) marks his second month in Kajang Prison and I know many of you want to know about Bossku’s condition…his face, alhamdulillah, is always calm and he still has a strong spirit,” Nooryana’s Insta story read.

“Thank you once more to those who continue to pray for him. It means the world to us.”

Najib is currently serving his 12 years jail, after being convicted on all seven charges in his SRC International Sdn Bhd case. He was also given a RM210 mil fine. – Oct 25, 2022
