BIDET is one of the most popular fixtures in most Southeast Asian toilets. Most of us would prefer using it over tissue paper, as it is cleaner than the latter. Apparently, there are reports that state a bidet can help prevent infections and diseases.
My biggest fear of travelling abroad is being forced to use toilet paper instead of water https://t.co/cQaHZIt7x6

An X user stated that he fears travelling to countries that do not commonly have bidets as it is harder to clean oneself. He implies that using toilet paper instead of water is not something he can get used to.

However, there are users who complain that some malls in our region can also be lacking in having a bidet. Additionally, another user claims to have brought a bottle of water with her because of this.
frrrr, how could they smear their poop around their bunghole and feel clean😐
toilet paper is made for drying your bum after using a bidet, not cleaning your poop

Furthermore, some users feel disgusted by the thought of using just toilet paper to clean themselves after a trip to the bathroom.
They feel that this method is not as clean as using a bidet. Some westerners who come to our region have also taken a liking to our bidets, to the point where they can’t seem to phantom living without them.
Recently, a UK man who moved to Malaysia in April now says he “cannot live” without a bidet or hose in the toilet. He believes a shift is happening among Western travellers who discover the necessity of these hygiene tools in Asia.
He resides in Langkawi and notes that many of his friends installed bidets upon returning to the UK. He feels cleaner and embraces this change, saying he would do the same if he ever moved back. – Aug 18, 2024
