Moneysave P2P targets RM300mil to power AI, semiconductor and E&E SMEs

MONEYSAVE, a Securities Commission Malaysia regulated Peer-to-Peer (P2P) financing platform, today announced a target to facilitate  up to RM300mil in funding for SMEs and Mid-Tier Companies (MTCs) in Artificial  Intelligence (AI), semiconductor, and Electrical and Electronics (E&E) — as Malaysia’s  semiconductor industry continues to strengthen its position as a key investment,  manufacturing, and global supply chain hub.

The announcement was made at the MSIA SME-MNC Connect Day & SME Financing  Conference 2026, held at Ascott Gurney, Georgetown, Penang, and organised by the  Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA).

The initiative addresses the financing gap faced by businesses requiring additional  working capital to secure contracts, execute projects, expand operations, and participate  in larger supply-chain opportunities. Financing is available immediately, with  applications open to eligible SMEs and MTCs nationwide.

Filling the funding gap for high-growth SMEs

Moneysave’s Penang initiative provides businesses with access to flexible financing  solutions, including:

  • Project and down-payment financing
  • Working capital and business expansion financing
  • Invoice financing and factoring

These solutions are designed to support business owners, main contractors, sub contractors, and suppliers that require additional capital to take on larger projects,  improve cash flow, and strengthen competitiveness.

Collateral-free financing of up to RM25mil per SME

For eligible businesses, Moneysave provides financing facilities ranging from  RM500,000 to RM25 mil per SME, without requiring conventional collateral or  compulsory payment assignments.

Eligibility is open to Malaysian-registered SMEs and  MTCs with demonstrated commercial contracts or growth opportunities in the AI,  semiconductor, and E&E sectors.

Applicants can begin the process via Moneysave’s  platform, with dedicated financing clinics available to guide businesses through  onboarding.

No equity dilution until valuation is optimised

Fundraising through Moneysave saves SME owners from premature equity dilution, particularly once they have exhausted traditional financing sources such as banking  facilities.

Proven track record across strategic industries

To date, Moneysave has facilitated more than RM450mil in P2P financing to over  100 SMEs and businesses, across industries including oil and gas services and  equipment (OGSE), semiconductors, E&E, logistics, maritime services, manufacturing,  construction support, renewable energy, and agro-food.

Moneysave has financed SMEs and MTCs with annual turnovers ranging from  approximately RM3mil to RM400mil, as well as several listed companies.

Powering the next phase of growth for AI, Semiconductor and  E&E

Vincent Soh, Chief Executive Officer of Moneysave, said the company wants to make  alternative financing more accessible to businesses with strong commercial potential.

“Our objective is to democratise access to capital for Malaysian businesses that have the  capability and commercial opportunities to grow, but may face limitations with  traditional financing,” he said.

“We provide financing facilities from RM500,000 to RM25mil per SME, with no  collateral, no equity dilution, and no compulsory payment assignments. This makes our  financing solutions highly sought after by fast-growing companies and pre-IPO  candidates in the industry,” Soh added.

RM1bil national target for 2027–2029

Looking ahead, Moneysave aims to facilitate RM1bil in financing nationwide  between 2027 and 2029, with particular focus on high-growth and Shariah-compliant  industries.

“Over the next three years, we aim to facilitate RM1bil in financing nationwide, with  a particular focus on high-growth and Shariah-compliant industries,” Soh said.

Moneysave’s expansion strategy includes a series of financing clinics, business advisory  sessions, investment forums, and financial literacy programmes organised with industry  associations and ecosystem partners.

These partners include the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA),  Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), Malaysia Semiconductor  Industry Association (MSIA), MSME Association, PETRONAS, SAMENTA, MPMA,  TEEAM, MOGSC, PKBM, PKMM, MICCI, Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce  (MCCC), and other industry associations.—Oct 5, 2026
