18 PBM leaders have taken the anti-corruption psychometric test

PARTI Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has announced that 18 of its leaders have taken the anti-corruption psychometric test as recommended by non-government anti-corruption outfit Rasuah Busters to ensure that they are accountable and not prone to graft.

Its deputy president Haniza Mohamed Talha said that following this, more leaders and also members will follow suit while their candidates for the upcoming Johor state election will also undergo the test.

“Johor will be PBM’s maiden election and we want our candidates to be corrupt-free so they can carry out their duties with utmost responsibility should they get elected,” said the Lembah Jaya assemblyperson in a statement.

According to Haniza, all PBM candidates for Johor will take the anti-corruption test (RBTag) as recommended by Rasuah Busters in Johor.

The anti-corruption NGO will also be setting up a centre in Johor Bahru in conjunction with the state polls.

“As for the number of seats PBM will be contesting, the party will make an announcement on the seats and our candidates on Thursday (Feb 24) at noon,” said Haniza.

“We will ensure all our candidates take and pass the test as this is line with the aspirations of voters who want clean, accountable leaders.”

A psychometric test evaluates a person’s personality, aptitude, ability, knowledge and behaviour for a certain role, commonly for recruitment purposes.

The RBTag was launched last year ahead of the Melaka state polls whereby Rasuah Busters had invited all political parties serious about fighting corruption to take to prove their sincerity and commitment.

At the Nov 11, 2021 launch in Shah Alam, Rasuah Busters’ chief secretary Nurhayati Nordin described RBTag as a “mechanism to identify the credibility and capabilities of the candidates in leadership and governance”. – Feb 22, 2022
