EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 36 deaths for yesterday and nine was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 35,228.
The site indicated 197 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 36 of them in need of ventilator support.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 11,994 infections, bringing the cumulative total 4,292,585.
Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 16,603 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 4,099,786.
Selangor recorded highest number of fatalities at nine deaths, followed by Perak (five), Sarawak (five), Johor (four), Penang (four), Terengganu (two), Putrajaya (two), Melaka (one), Negri Sembilan (one), Pahang (one), Sabah (one) and Kuala Lumpur (one). — April 8, 2022
