TENCENT Cloud and U Mobile have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and test 5G and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for Malaysian enterprises and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), marking Tencent Cloud's first official AI-focused partnership with a Malaysian telecommunications provider. The collaboration will combine Tencent Cloud's AI and cloud capabilities with U Mobile's ULTRA5G network, enterprise reach and Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP) to develop, validate and demonstrate practical business applications before they are commercialised. As a strategic partner of EIP, Tencent Cloud will work with U Mobile through the platform's "Develop-Test-Demonstrate" pathway to identify and validate AI-driven solutions that address real-world business challenges. Successful projects could progress to pilot deployments, commercialisation and broader market adoption.
