COVID-19: 15,669 fresh cases as country crosses two-million mark

MALAYSIA has logged 15,669 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday (Sept 14), thus bringing the cumulative total to 2,011,440.

In a tweet, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 18,053 patients have been cured, with the total discharge now standing at 1,764,579.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases (2,632), surpassing Sarawak which had 1,983 cases. This is followed by Johor (1,974) and Sabah (1,784).

“Of the current active cases, 1,266 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 689 of them in need of ventilator support,” Noor Hisham remarked. – Sept 14, 2021.
