THE DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) will lodge a police report against Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria for 3R (race, religion, royalty) breaches by inciting racial hatred, particularly his questioning the loyalty of Malaysian Chinese towards their country of birth.
The Bandar Kuching MP who strongly condemned the racist statement by the Perak state Opposition leader contended that the latter’s action shows why PAS is unfit to govern a multi-cultural & multi-religious country like Malaysia.
Yii was responding to Razman’s statement where the two-term Gunong Semanggol state assemblyman uttered “we ask those whose eyes are like this (while pointing to his eyes), skin like this (while pointing to his skin) and blood like ours, we must unite, this is the struggle we champion”.
“DAPSY urges the authorities to carry out an investigation without fear or favour against Razman Zakaria. Once proven he should face the full force of the law for instigating hate and clearly touching on 3R matters,” the two-term DAP lawmaker pointed out in a statement.

“On top of spreading lies and slander towards the Madani government on the purported “massive China flag-waving” during a cultural possession at Menara Condong Teluk Intan, he chose to resort to racist statement to incite hate among the different races of Malaysia.
“Before this, the Perak PAS chief had even tried to paint the Chinese community in Malaysia as being unpatriotic over the incident.”
Such statement, according to Yii, is not just an insult to the Chinese community in Malaysia but a clear form of “hate speech” to further divide and instigate hate among the different races.
“There should not even be any question of our loyalty and love for our beloved nation of Malaysia. As a responsible leader, he should have rallied all Malaysians to unite, not pitting a particular community against another,” stressed the special advisor to Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
DAPSY’s police report aside, Razman further faces a potential civil action from DAP vice-chairman Nga Kor Ming for having allegedly defamed the Teluk Intan MP over Thursday (Oct 24) night’s waving of China flags during the International Guan Gong Cultural Festival.
Nga who is also the Local Government and Housing Minister said his aide had lodged a police report on Razman for having claimed that he both organised and officiated the event at the Teluk Intan police station on Friday (Oct 25).
Most notably, the Perak state Perikatan Nasional (PN) deputy chairman has a poor track record when it comes to legal suits.
A case in point is how he was made to apologise to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Feb 9 last year for accusing the latter in the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign of supporting the LBGT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community and being a communist.
