IN a recent announcement by the Communications Ministry, former two-term Paya Jaras assemblyman Mohd Khairuddin Othman has been appointed as the new Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general.
Khairuddin’s appointment, effective immediately, was disclosed by Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Isa via Facebook today.
Fauzi highlighted that J-Kom under Khairuddin’s leadership will persist in fortifying the Madani government by promoting knowledge, digital skills, and patriotism.
Moreover, Khairuddin succeeds Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff, who vacated the position in November 2023 following the circulation of a video allegedly depicting him engaging in an inappropriate conversation with another individual.
Despite denying the accusations and asserting that he was framed, Agus resigned, citing a new employment opportunity.
Prior to his new role, Khairuddin served as the Selangor youth, sports, and human capital development committee chairman from 2018 to 2023. – March 1, 2024
