KUALA LUMPUR: Mudajaya Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Mudajaya Corporation Bhd, has received a letter of notification from R.K.M Powergen Pvt Ltd (RKM) that it commenced power supply to Telangana state via PTC India Ltd on Feb 1.
This is under the pilot agreement between RKM Powergen and PTC India for the supply of 550 megawatts (MW) of power, Mudajaya Group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The company said the supply supplements the current power sales of 350MW to Uttar Pradesh Power Corp Ltd, bringing the total power sales from RKM Powergen’s plant to 900MW.
“The power sales commencement is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending 2021 onwards,” it added.
Mudajaya Corporation has a 18.93% stake in RKM Powergen. – Feb 3, 2020, Bernama
