NASDAQ-bound Graphjet awarded two 2023 best practices accolades by Frost & Sullivan

NASDAQ-BOUND Graphjet Technology Sdn Bhd, the world’s leading graphite and single-layer graphene producer, has recently been accorded with two prestigious 2023 Best Practices Awards by Frost & Sullivan.

The home-grown firm received the Frost & Sullivan 2023 Global Leadership Award and 2023 Global Technology Innovation Leadership Award while its CEO and founder Aiden Lee Ping Wei walked away with the Frost & Sullivan 2023 Global Entrepreneur Excellence Award.

Frost & Sullivan, a worldwide renowned consulting firm with over 60 years of experience, presents Best Practices Awards annually to deserving companies throughout a range of regional and global markets for their outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

There are more than 1,800 global research analysts from Frost & Sullivan that compare market participants and assess their individual performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research to identify industrial best practices.

A notable name who has been previously awarded by Frost & Sullivan is former US president Barack Obama who received the Growth, Innovation and Leadership (GIL) Visionary Award back in 2012.

Both the global leadership and global technology innovation awards bestowed upon Graphjet are reflective of the strong track record that the group has established in its push towards sustainable growth.

As the world’s first and only company that transforms waste into graphene and graphite using innovative conversion technology, Graphjet is globally recognised for its ground-breaking technology.

On the other hand, the entrepreneurship award demonstrates how an individual could lead his/her team to seek new opportunities even in times of unprecedented change while ensuring the business continues to grow and thrive.

Currently, Graphjet is in the midst of completing its business merger with Energem Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) with its listing exercise on the NASDAQ Exchange slated for completion by 1H 2023.

Hence, the recognition is another step forward for Graphjet after having secured its US$200 mil equity investment recently.

“I am honoured to be recognised by Frost & Sullivan for mine and my team’s hard work, dedication and commitment,” commented Graphjet’s CEO Lee.

“We’re now looking forward to the listing of Graphjet which puts us in a good position to expand growth. Based on our submission, we’re confident that the listing will be completed by 1H 2023.”

According to Lee, Graphjet’s listing will help to accelerate growth for the global super-material industry. “Graphite is the key raw material in the battery anode with almost all EV (electric car) battery anodes comprising 100% graphite,” he enthused.

“As such, battery grade graphite and graphene-based anode battery materials are critical in the rapid growth seen in the EV business segment. We are confident the rising demand for graphite and graphene will benefit the group (in the long term).” – Feb 17, 2023
