SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM28.84 bil in the conventional system and RM17.33 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct a RM1 bil conventional money market tender for seven days, a RM2 bil Qard tender for seven days and three reverse repo tenders comprising of RM1.5 bil for 14 days, RM1.5 bil for 32 days and RM305 mil for 61 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM31.1 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM15.3 bil for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 19, 2020, Bernama
