NOT every family vacation ends in sweet memories. Some become horror stories to spook children into behaving, or make for a fine conversation in a mamak restaurant.
Take this story for example which netizen highlighted on X. A family photograph taken in front of a traditional Malay wooden house on stilts has left social media users spooked after a mysterious black figure appeared to be embracing a child posing near the staircase.
According to information accompanying the circulating video post, the house is located in Kampung Lambor Kanan, Perak.
At first glance, the scene appears to be an ordinary family photo opportunity, with the group gathering in front of the traditional wooden home.
However, one unusual detail has caught viewers’ attention.

It was a dark, human-like silhouette seemingly positioned around the child standing near the front staircase leading into the house.
Its shadowy appearance has prompted questions about what was captured in the image, with some viewers finding the figure unsettling enough to wonder whether something supernatural had made an unexpected appearance.
Not everyone, however, is convinced that the image shows anything paranormal.
Some netizens dismissed the ghostly interpretation, arguing that the black figure was merely the result of poor photo quality.

Without the original high-resolution photograph, the lighting conditions or a clearer view of the scene, it is difficult to determine exactly what produced the dark silhouette.
Nevertheless, the image has offered plenty of material for those who enjoy a good ghost story, particularly when an apparently ordinary family moment takes an unexpected turn.
A superstitious @NGnola36268 further wondered if people with bad intention will be able to find their way out of the house.

On another note, Kampung Lambor Kanan is a traditional village in the Perak Tengah district of Perak, on the western side of Peninsular Malaysia.
It sits close to the Perak River and is part of an area with a long history of Malay settlement, riverside communities and early Perak royal history.
It is a rural settlement rather than a major tourist town. The surrounding area retains a kampung character, with village roads, riverside landscapes and traditional community life.
The location’s traditional architecture may contribute to its eerie appearance, but there is no verified evidence that the house in the viral post has a paranormal history.—Oct 28, 2026
